The University Secures Third Place in the National College Student Robot Competition (ROBOCON)

From July 11 to 15, the 24th National College Student Robot Competition (ROBOCON) was held at the Jiangyin Campus of Nanjing University of Science and Technology. The team from Shandong University of Science and Technology delivered an outstanding performance, winning the national third-place award in the main event, "Dunk Shot" robot basketball competition. Across all events, the university earned a total of 7 first prizes, 5 second prizes, and 2 third prizes.

The National College Student Robot Competition (ROBOCON), which began in 2002, is held annually and has become one of the most technically challenging and influential robotics competitions for college students in China. This year's ROBOCON was guided by the China Association of Higher Education and the Strategic Consultation Center of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and organized by the National College Student Robot Competition Committee. More than 3,000 students from 76 universities across the country, including Xi’an Jiaotong University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Wuhan University, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Central South University, and Northeastern University, competed fiercely in events such as the "Dunk Shot" robot basketball competition, the bionic legged robot challenge, and the robot volleyball challenge. Both the scale of the competition and the level of competition reached unprecedented heights.
