Recently, the China Engineering Education Accreditation Association and the Education Quality Assessment Center of the Ministry of Education announced the results of 2023 engineering education accreditation and mid-term review. The four majors of Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering, Software Engineering, Communication Engineering, and Transportation od SDUST have been certified, with a validity period of 6 years, from January 2023 to December 2028. All four majors have passed te accreditation for the first time. Three majors including Civil Engineering, Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation, Automation have passed the mid-term review of engineering education accreditation, and will remain valid until December 2025. As of now, a total of 20 majors of SDUST have passed the engineering education accreditation, ranking first among provincial universities.

In recent years, SDUST has attached great importance to engineering education accreditation, systematically promoted accreditation work, and continuously improved the level of professional education. Next, SDUST will continue to focus on engineering education accreditation, establish a continuous teaching quality assurance mechanism, maintain the accreditation status and expand the accreditation scale, and comprehensively improve the quality of education and talent cultivation.
