On July 13, Professor Anatoly Okhotin, Dean of School of Mining and Geodesy, National Technical University of Irkutsk, Russia, and Chairman of the ISM, and Huang Leting, an alumnus of SDUST and deputy general manager of Tiandi Science and Technology Co., Ltd. visited SDUST. Vice-President Zeng Qingliang met with Anatoly Okhotin and Huang Leting.

Zeng Qingliang welcomed Professor Anatoly Okhotin and introduced the history of SDUST, the scale, the teaching staff, the training of talents and the construction of disciplines. He said that Professor Anatoly Okhotin's visit to our school will certainly play a better role inpromoting the training of talents and the improvement of academic level.

Professor Anatoly Okhotin thanked Prof.Zeng for its reception and introduced the situation of Irkutsk National Technical University in Russia. He hoped that the cooperation between the two sides would be effective. The two sides also discussed about personnel training and cooperation.

After the meeting, Professor Anatoly Okhotin gave a report entitled "experience of cooperation between universities and mining companies" for the teachers and students of the College of Surveying and Mapping. During the visit, Professor Anatoly Okhotin and his delegation also visited the University History Museum, the Laboratory of College of Geomatics.
