On June 21, Glassdoor, an Americanjob-hunting website, released a list of the top 100 CEOs in the United Statesin 2018. Yuan Zheng, an alumnus of Applied Mathematics at Shandong University of Science and Technology and founder and CEO of Zoom, a video conferencing software provider, topped the list. The company also ranked No. 5 in the best workplace (small and medium-sized enterprises) list.
In the top 100 list, there are 26 technology CEOs. Facebook CEO Zuckerberg ranked 8, and Apple CEO Cook ranked 96.
Yuan Zheng's company Zoom, founded in 2012,is a video conference service provider. From zero customers at the beginning of its establishment to $100 million in D-round financing last year, it was valuedat over $1 billion and successfully joined the Licorne Club. Yuan Zheng was vice president of engineering at WebEx, which was acquired by Cisco for $3.2 billion in 2007. Today, Yuan Zheng's Zoom has become one of the strongest competitor of WebEx.
