On March 29th, Professor Zhang Chuanzeng,director of Structural Mechanics of the Department of Civil Engineering of theCollege of Science and Technology, University of Siegen visits SDUST, and vicepresident Yao Qingguo met with the guest.

Yao Qingguo welcomed prof. Zhang Chuanzeng,introduced the situation of the university from the university operation, scaleof students and teaching staff, and introduced the College of Civil Engineering,and hoped that Professor Zhang Chuanzeng would further strengthen communicationand cooperation in related fields in the future. Professor Zhang Chuanzengintroduced the situation of the University of Siegen in Germany, and expressedhis wish to make a positive contribution to the cooperation of the talentintroduction and scientific research projects of Shandong University of Scienceand Technology.

During his stay at SDUST, Zhang Chuanzengmade a report on "Modelling simulation and applications of multifunctionalmaterials and structures" for teachers and students.
