Yuan Junping Met with Guest from University of Missouri
Prof. Jinglu Tan, Dean of Department of Engineering of University of Missouri of the US visited SDUST on March 1st.Yuan Junping, Party Secretary of CPC of SDUST met with the guests. Senior staffs from Department of Scientific Research, Office of Academic Affairs and International Office of SDUST were also present at the meeting.
Yuan Junping extended his welcome to Prof. Jinglu Tan and made a brief introduction to the scale, locations, discipline structure, features, faculty, research and international exchange and cooperation of SDUST. He said that the internationalization of higher education was the tide of the times and SDUST placed great importance on international exchange and cooperation and actively introduced advanced teaching concepts and high quality education resources from abroad. Jinglu Tan introduced the conditions of University of Missouri, particularly about the program setting and advantageous disciplines of the Department of Engineering. In the meeting, the two sides also had in-depth discussions in terms of China and US education systems, teaching concepts and education of innovative students and exchanged views with each other over joint education of undergraduate and graduate students and faculty exchange. Both sides expressed their willingness to actively promote substantial exchange and cooperation between the two universities and seek common development for reciprocity and mutual benefit.
